Merry Taylor
There was, however, a defining moment in Merry’s Christian life when she felt the calling to start sharing her beliefs more strongly. Merry was confronted after a seminar by an atheist, a professor at a university, who challenged her statements about faith and about where our strength comes from. Not wanting a confrontation, Merry felt she did not stand up for her faith and asked God for the strength and knowledge to start sharing His teachings more intentionally. Merry’s programs are scripture-based and full of real life stories and experiences of people who, with the help of God, have risen above their circumstances and changed their lives. You might cry a little, laugh a lot, but you will always leave feeling more inspired and motivated. Linda Sloan
She grew up in a Christian home but it was as an adult that she really began to understand what a relationship with Christ really meant. This became even more clear during the illness of a family member. Linda suddenly woke up to the fact that God is the only one in charge of everything and that her job was to turn things (and people) over to Him and to seek His wisdom in controlling her own actions and responses. While teaching "people skills" in the corporate sector, she realized that the principles for getting along with anyone in any situation are clearly laid out in the Bible. She enjoys using humor and real-life examples to incorporate these principles into her presentations. Buffy SmithBuffy Smith is a wife and new mother. She, like her mother Linda Sloan, grew up in a Christian home but did not begin to truly seek the Lord’s will in her life until she was in high school. She graduated from Presbyterian College with a degree in Christian Education, and then went to work for a high school outreach ministry called Young Life. It was here that she was able to exercise her gifts in speaking and teaching the Word of God. While with Young Life, Buffy spoke to high school students, led training for volunteer leaders, and led Bible studies for both her high school friends and college women. She has led various seminars on topics such as finding your self worth in the Lord, and determining God’s will in your life. She has spoken at fundraising banquets, as well as retreats for adult committees. In her talks, Buffy enjoys bringing scripture to life. She unpacks the truths in a passage and applies their relevance to everyday life. Buffy incorporates both humor and vulnerability as she shares stories from her childhood, her marriage, and her ups and down of motherhood.
